Address: 9930 Neiden
The village of Neiden lies right by the Norwegian-Finnish border, approx. 50 km west of Kirkenes.
The village is known for its good salmon river, the annual Käppalä fishing (traditional East Sami casting net fishing) in Skoltefossen waterfall and the Russian orthodox St. Georg’s chapel (annual open air mass last Sunday in August). You pass by Neiden chapel on the way to Mikkelsnes, a popular area in the summer for outdoor pursuits.
